Garden Landscape Views

Earth Wood & Flowers Landscaping knows that you don't have to be out in the yard to appreciate it's many charms and changes.

We all look at our gardens and landscapes from our windows much more often than we actually go out into them, particularly when the weather turns bad.

Because of this, the best landscape designs should take into account the views that we will be seen from inside your homes or businesses.

The best way is to begin by marking the location of every window on our plans. Then take special note of the windows that you will be looking out of the most often and from what angle you will usually look out of them. These views should be focused on first .

Arrange plants, structures, or a combination of the two to create scenes that, when framed by the windows from inside, look like well-composed photographs, with a background, middleground, foreground, and focal point.

Important paths should also be in view from indoors whenever possible.

Be sure to put special plants where you can see them from inside.  This is especially true for plants that flower in the spring, when the weather is bad.  You may miss the crocus altogether if they are under a window instead of visible through it.

Additionally, rotating the rows in the vegetable garden or landscape to follow the line of sight instead of crossing it will let you watch the details of growth from inside much more closely.

Even objects like, lines of hanging clothes that can dominate a scene when they are crossing the view from a window almost disappear when placed parallel in the landscape to the window.

Some views, as from an upstairs window are even better than when you are actually out in the landscape and  up close to it due to the fact that, the overall paving, and landscape design need distance for full appreciation.

Parts of most yards cannot and should not be seen from indoors at all. Put the compost pile our any other unsightly areas in one of these concealed spots.

Even the grayest days can be a cosy delight and spectacle viewed through an over-sized window from indoors.

Rainfall, snow, swelling buds, autumn leaves, birds and wildlife are a joy to watch and view from the comfort of the indoors while looking out at your landscape.

Earth Wood & Flowers Landscaping believes one should place strong emphisis not only on your curb appeal or how things will be viewed while out in the landscape, but just as importantly, how your landscape will be viewed from within your home or business for your enjoyment year round.
